University of North Georgia STEM Excellence Center Groundbreaking

As Chairman of the House Higher Education Committee, I know few things matter more to me than ensuring Georgia's universities have the facilities to educate our workforce and prepare Georgians for the future of work.

That's why I was proud to join the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega on July 7 to break ground on its new STEM Excellence Center. This is an investment of about $49 million that will prepare Georgia's next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators when it opens in 2028.

Congratulations to UNG's students, faculty, and leadership — and to everyone who helped make this milestone possible.
