Working for you in the State House, Chuck has introduced and passed laws that improve access to healthcare. This past year alone, he championed legislation that cut down on “surprise medical billing,” expanded Medicaid for new mothers up to 6 months, and brought greater transparency to the healthcare process.

DEFEND HOPE and ZELL MILLER SCHOLARSHIPS

Chuck will never back down on protecting and strengthening the HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarships for our children and grandchildren. As the Chairman of the House Higher Education Committee, no one is better positioned than Chuck to increase accessibility to education after high school and protect merit-based scholarships across our state.

CHAMPION SAFER NEIGHBORHOODS

As Mayor of Alpharetta, Chuck worked with local leaders to implement community policing initiatives and support Alpharetta’s public safety professionals with the formation of the Alpharetta Police Athletic League to reach the youth in the community. Chuck has continued his leadership at the Capitol by providing school security grants of $30,000 for every Georgia school and over $100 million in funding to fight COVID-19.

ENHANCE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

A product of the Fulton County Schools, Chuck cares deeply that every student in our community is afforded the same opportunity that he had to learn in a supportive, safe environment. His wife, Johnna, was a teacher’s assistant for 17 years in our local schools, so Chuck understands firsthand what is needed for our students to receive an excellent education.
